Florence Museums Open 2021

Museums are finally open in Florence for 2021. After being closed for three months due to the pandemic, museum doors are once again open to welcome visitors.

To ensure a safe visit for everyone, admission volume is currently limited and opening hours are restricted to weekdays with reduced hours. This way you can enjoy the museums and their collections!

Here is a list of museums open in Florence 2021 with opening days, times, and booking methods:

Uffizi

Uffizi Gallery – from Tuesday to Friday, 8:30AM – 6:30PM

Palazzo Pitti– from Tuesday to Friday, 8:30AM – 1:30PM

Boboli Gardens – from Monday to Friday, 8:30AM – 4:30PM (from March, open until 5:30PM), closed on the first and last Monday of each month

Civic Museums

Palazzo Vecchio – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday from 9:00AM to 7:00PM, and Thursday from 9:00AM to 2:00PM

Torre di Arnolfo (Palazzo Vecchio) – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday from 9:00AM to 5:00PM (open until 2:00PM on Thursday)

Museo di Santa Maria Novella – Thursday and Friday, 10:00AM – 5:00PM

Museo Novecento is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday from 11:00AM to 7:00PM, and Thursday from 11:00AM to 2:00PM

Brancacci Chapel (Piazza del Carmine) -  Monday from 10:00AM to 5:00PM

Museo Bardini – open Monday and Friday from 11:00AM to 5:00PM

The Bargello, Medici Chapels, and Palazzo Davanzati

Museo Nazionale del Bargello – from Monday to Friday, 8:45AM – 1:30PM

Museo delle Cappelle Medicee – Monday and Tuesday from 8:45AM to 1:30PM; Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 2:00PM to 6:30PM

Museo di Palazzo Davanzati – Monday to Friday from 2:00PM to 6:30PM

Galleria dell’Accademia

The Academy reopens on February 16 with a new layout and will be open from Tuesday to Friday, 8:30AM – 6:30PM

The Museo Horne will open by reservation only

National Archaeological Museum of Florence

The National Archaeological Museum of Florence is open from Monday to Friday:

Monday and Wednesday 8:30AM-2:00PM (last admission at 1:15PM)

Tuesday and Friday 8:30AM -7:00PM (last admission at 6:15PM)

Thursday from 2:00PM to 7:00PM (last admission at 6:15PM)

Museo di San Marco 

The Museo Nazionale di San Marco is open mornings from Monday to Friday, 8:15AM – 1:50PM
