Palazzo Strozzi: the exhibition event of 2023
29 December 2022 to 31 July 2023

Palazzo Strozzi presents the exhibition event “Reaching for the Stars. From Maurizio Cattelan to Lynette Yiadom-Boakye”, arriving on 4 March 2023.
The Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi has re-proposed and enhanced this dialogue between the historical Renaissance building and contemporary art, a continuing conversation that started with previous exhibitions featuring artists such as Jeff Koons and Olafur Eliasson (currently on display).
The new exhibition “Reaching for the Stars. From Maurizio Cattelan to Lynette Yiadom-Boakye” examines the artistic currents of the last 40 years, through the selection of over 100 works by internationally renowned artists. Maurizio Cattelan, Damien Hirst, Sarah Lucas, Lara Favaretto, William Kentridge, Cindy Sherman, Berlinde De Bruyckere, Lynette Yiadom-Boakye, Rudolf Stingel, and Josh Kline are just some of the names that stand out in this impressive list.
The works on display at Palazzo Strozzi are largely from the prestigious Sandretto Re Rebaudengo Collection, which has decided to celebrate its 30th anniversary in collaboration with the Palazzo Strozzi Foundation.
Paintings, sculptures, installations, photographs, videos, and performances will be exhibited in the spaces of Palazzo Strozzi, from the Piano Nobile to the Strozzina, and a new installation will welcome visitors in the Renaissance courtyard.
The Reaching for the Stars exhibition will remain open until 18 July 2023. Tickets are available online on the official Palazzo Strozzi website.
